Welcome to the Conservation Services Division!
The Conservation Services Division provides technical and financial support, leadership and statewide coordination, and regulatory oversight to public/private landowners and agricultural businesses statewide on an array of natural resource management challenges. Together, our programs help farmers, ranchers, and other landowners manage Colorado’s natural resources effectively for sustained agriculture production and environmental health.

On-farm Energy and Efficiency Projects Eligible for CDA Grant Funding
CDA is seeking applications from farmers and ranchers interested in modernizing their agricultural operations with energy efficiency improvements or renewable energy projects. Agricultural producers can apply for funding and technical assistance through CDA’s Advancing Colorado’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ACRE3) program, which aims to reduce on-farm energy costs while promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
ACRE3 is accepting online pre-applications for energy projects through May 31, 2025.
