Welcome to the Conservation Services Division
The Conservation Services Division provides technical and financial support, leadership and statewide coordination, and regulatory oversight to public/private landowners and agricultural businesses statewide on an array of natural resource management challenges.

Colorado River Salinity Tour in Palisade
On August 14th, Paul Kehmeier (Salinty Program Coordinator) led a tour around Palisade for CDA staff and public about salinity in the Colorado River. The tour educated attendees about efforts in the Grand Valley to reduce the amount of salt that washes from soils into the Colorado River. Attendees saw a lined irrigation canal and responsible irrigation practices on a local peach orchard--salinity control in action. Read this article in The Daily Sentinel to learn more and see photos!
